About the Artist

Doler Shah is an accomplished artist, working with different mediums for over the last four decades. Educated in Textile Designing, Space planning and Interior Designing from Sir J.J. School of Arts she graduated at the top of her class. Doler has always found ways to be creative in what ever life threw at her, from painting furniture, painting murals, watercolor landscapes to drawing portraits.

These days she is fascinated by the structure of different faces, and is intrigued by all the different faces she sees, trying to capture the different nuances, emotions, features, shadows, and the light play in her work, she has created this body of work.

She say, "In the sea of faces that we come across, what is it in the different faces that connects with us? How is it that we feel that connection even with strangers on the street? This has always amazed me."
